Phuket unites the typical Asian life with the usual standards for Western visitors. Although the island is a big tourist magnet, there are still many quiet corners that are not crowded. The biggest tourist resorts are on the west coast of the island. Phuket can easily be reached by plane due to the island having the second largest airport in Thailand. Backpackers will find budget accommodation and leisure travelers with high standards will find exquisite hotels and restaurants. The promotion of tin and the cultivation of coconut and rubber are, along with tourism, one oft he most important economic sectors in the region.
Patong Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in the world
Patong is a popular tourist destination in the middle of the west coast of Phuket. The locals have completely adapted to the needs of holidaymakers. For a beach holiday, Patong Beach is ideal. The fine sandy beach of Patong in front of the turquoise Indian Ocean, is 3.5 kilometers long and also a popular point of contact for divers. Extensive shopping trips can also be done in Patong. The numerous and varied restaurants and bars are located in close proximity to the beach. The colorful nightlife of Patong is very diverse. If you want to combine your beach holiday with going out and partying, Patong is the right place for it.
Wassa Homemade Bar – enjoy the view of Patong
The Wassa Homemade Bar is on a hill above Patong. From here you can enjoy a wonderful panorama over the beach of Patong, the Andaman Sea as well as the surrounding region of the island Phuket. When the sun sinks slowly into the sea in the evening, the view is breathtaking. As a result, the bar is very busy at the time of sunset.
Note: There is no public vantage point, so we recommend reserving a table in advance and meeting at least one hour before sunset. This way you can choose the best table and order your meal or drink in peace and enjoy the sunset undisrupted.
Thai and international delicacies are served at the Wassa Homemade Bar. We are open daily from 4pm until midnight. The best way to reach us is with a rental scooter or taxi (bookable taxi service). Drive to Soi Nanai and turn right in the middle of a road that leads uphill. From there you can follow the signs. You can also reach the hill where our bar is located via the southern roundabout. Of course you can also use a taxi service. We are looking forward to your visit!
